Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your OnBoard account. If your organization has enabled 2FA, you’ll need to verify your identity after entering your password.
What is Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)?
Two-Factor Authentication means you use two steps to log in:
- Password: Your OnBoard ID and password.
- Verification Code: A unique code sent by Email or SMS (Short Message Service).
How Do I Log In Using 2FA?
Follow these steps:

Enter Your Credentials
- On the login screen, type your OnBoard ID and password.

Choose How to Receive Your Code
- Select:
- Email (default option)
- SMS Text Message (requires setup—see below)
- Select:

Enter the Code
- Check your email or phone for the code.
- Enter the code on the login screen.
- Access OnBoard
Once verified, you’re logged in!
How Do I Enable SMS for 2FA?
To receive codes via text message, add your mobile number in your profile settings:

Open Your Profile
- Click your name or image in the Directory, or at the bottom-left corner of the screen.

Go to Settings
- Click the Settings tab at the top of your profile page.

Add Your Phone Number
- Under Two-Factor Authentication, select Add SMS Number.
- Enter your phone number and click Add SMS Number.
- International numbers are supported.

Verify Your Number
- A verification code will be sent via SMS.
- Enter the code and click Submit.
Once verified, you can choose SMS as your 2FA method during login.
FAQs
What if I don’t receive my code?
Wait for the 15-second timer to finish, then request a new code. Email delivery can take a few seconds, and for SMS, make sure your phone number is correct and your device has network coverage.
Can I use both Email and SMS?
Yes. You can set up SMS in addition to email, and during login, you’ll be able to choose your preferred method.
Are international phone numbers supported?
Yes. OnBoard supports international numbers for SMS-based two-factor authentication.
