OnBoard Support may need to connect directly with your device to be able to help diagnose or correct technical issues. GoToAssist is the most common Remote software our Support Team uses to conduct remote sessions with customers. 

Below. we'll cover how you can get started:

 

  1. Head to http://fastsupport.com by clicking the link.
  2. Enter your name and the Support Key provided by OnBoard Support, then click Continue.

  3. A download should begin to run the GoToAssist Opener. 
    In most browsers, the file download will show in the bottom or top status bar, or it may save directly to your Downloads folder on your device.

    Important Note: If your download doesn't begin, click "try again" or "download & run GoTo" to attempt a new download. 


    If you've connected with GoToAssist before, your browser may prompt instead to open GoTo Opener.

  4. Windows may prompt you to allow GoToAssist to make changes to your computer.
    Click Yes to complete the setup of GoToAssist and allow the remote session.

  5.  Once it starts up, GoToAssit will prompt you to allow OnBoard Support to remotely connect to your computer and view your screen, as well as move your mouse.

  6.  GoToAssist will show in your task bar, and should show a small toolbar at the bottom right corner of the screen to end the session or chat with the connected technician.

MacOS

 

  1. Head to http://fastsupport.com by clicking the link.
  2. Enter your name and the Support Key provided by OnBoard Support, then click Continue.

  3. A download should begin to run the GoToAssist Opener.

    Important Note: If your download doesn't begin, click "try again" or "download & run GoTo" to attempt a new download. 
  5. You'll then double-click the GoTo Opener to run the program.

  6. It may prompt you to allow GoTo Opener to run, go ahead and click Open here.

  7.  You'll be prompted to allow GoTo Opener to access files in the Downloads folder. Click Open for GoTo Opener to finish setting up.

  8.  Click Join Session to connect with OnBoard Support.

  9.  If GoTo Assist has not been allowed to connect on your device yet, you may need to open System Preferences and allow GoTo Assist to connect to a Remote Session.

  10.  If the Security & Privacy window is greyed out on the right side like below, unlock the lock at the bottom left corner of the Security & Privacy window to allow changes to be made.mceclip6.png
  11.  This step requires confirmation to allow the window to be unlocked, so you'll need to enter your password to allow the change to be made.

  12. While Accessibility is selected on the left side, check GoToAssist Customer in the list to allow.

  13. Scroll down on the left side and choose "Screen Recording," and add a check next to GoToAssist here as well.

  14.  Click the lock to prevent further changes, then close the Security & Privacy window.

  15.  You should now be connected, and the GoToAssist window should show "Your screen is being shared."

Important Note: If GoToAssist is unable to connect correctly on the first try, it may be necessary to try to run it again and double-check the Security & Privacy settings again.
