Single Sign-on (SSO) allows you to log into OnBoard with your organization's SSO identity provider credentials.
Signing in with SSO Enforced
If you're a new user to OnBoard, you'll first need to activate your account. Review the article on Accepting Your OnBoard Invitation for more information on activating your account.
If your organization enforces SSO, it will be the only sign-in option after entering your email on the OnBoard Sign-In Page.
Selecting the SSO button signs you into OnBoard instantly if you're already logged into your identity provider. Otherwise, you'll be prompted for SSO credentials.
If you have access to multiple organizations, you can access OnBoard with your email and password, but you must Sign in with SSO to access the organization from the Organization Selection screen.
Signing when SSO not Enforced
If SSO isn't enforced, you can access OnBoard using either your OnBoard email and password or SSO after entering your email.
Mobile and Tablet App SSO Sign On
The process for accepting your invitation will be the same on the mobile or tablet app. We recommend downloading the IOS or Android apps prior to activating your account.
Review the article on Accepting Your OnBoard Invitation for more information on activating your account.
After activating your account and entering your email address, you'll have the option to sign in with SSO by selecting Next or you can Sign in With OnBoard ID.
If choose to sign in with your OnBoard ID, and SSO is enforced for your organization, you'll need to Sign in With SSO from the Organization Selection screen.
After successfully signing in on the phone or tablet app, you'll be prompted to trust the device and enter a mobile security pin or use a biometric sensor (thumbprint or face ID). To learn more about trusting the device, review this article.
If trusted, you will remain signed into the OnBoard mobile or tablet app for up to 120 days of inactivity. If you sign out of the app, you will need to go through SSO sign on process again.

Set up Alternative Email Addresses for Notifications
If you would like to receive your OnBoard notifications to an email address that differs from your Single Sign-On address, you can set up one or more Alternative Notification Addresses using separate emails.
As an Administrator you can add Alternative Notification Addresses to your user's profiles by following the steps in our Editing Another User's Profile article.
Users can also add their own Alternative Notification Addresses by following the steps in our Managing your User Profile and Settings article.
Important Note: The following notifications and emails will not go out to Alternative Notification Addresses, and will only send to the OnBoard ID email address:
- Account Invitation Emails
- Password Reset Emails
- Calendar Integration Emails (Calendar Invites)
