AI Insights are summaries and analyses generated from the meeting transcript after the meeting ends. These insights help boards quickly understand how time was spent, how decisions were discussed, and who participated, without manually reviewing the full transcript.
Accessing AI Insights
Where do I find AI Insights?
To access AI Insights:
- Open the meeting.
- Select the Insights tab.
- If insights are not visible, select Generate Insights.

Once generated, insights are organized into the following sections:
Discussion Composition
Discussion Composition shows how meeting time was distributed across five governance pillars and displays how much time was spent in each area.
The pillars can be expanded to see topic‑level details.
Governance Pillars:
- Strategy & Shaping: Discussions that focus on developing and guiding the organization's overall direction and strategic priorities.
- Corporate Control & Fiduciary: Discussions focused on financial oversight and stewardship to ensure the organization meets its fiduciary responsibilities.
- Decision Making: Discussions covering formal board approvals through votes and resolutions on budgets, investments, appointments, and policies.
- Risk & Compliance: Discussions that focus on risk identification, mitigation, and oversight of regulatory and legal requirements.
- Board Development: Discussions that focus on board education, continuous improvement, effectiveness reviews, and succession planning.
- Non Governance: Discussions that focus on procedural, social, or logistical topics that do not fall within governance-related categories.
Oversight Focus
Oversight Focus evaluates how the board approached discussion and decision‑making.
This analysis measures whether the board focused on strategy or operations and how effectively members challenged ideas.
What's included in Oversight Focus?
Strategic vs. Tactical Balance
Strategic vs. Tactical balance displays the percentage of strategic discussion versus operational detail and provides a summary of the findings.
Debate Quality
Debate Quality displays whether discussion encouraged critical thinking.
- Good vs. Bad Signals: A badge will display, indicating poor, fair, good, or excellent governance behaviors.
- Groupthink Risk: Groupthink risk is the likelihood that discussion lacks sufficient challenge or diverse perspectives. This is rated as low, medium, or high.
- Debate Highlights: Key debate moments from the meeting summarized in bullet points.
Questions Asked
Questions Asked displays the number of each question type to highlight how the board is engaging in discussion.
The question types are listed below:
- Clarifying: Questions that seek to better understand information or confirm meaning.
- Probing: Questions that explore assumptions, details, or underlying causes.
- Challenging: Questions that test ideas, risks, or reasoning to strengthen decisions.
- Procedural: Questions that focus on process, logistics, or how something should be done.
Director Engagement
Director Engagement shows who participated and how actively during the meeting. This helps identify participation patterns and the balance between dominant voices and underrepresented participants.
The following will be displayed for each meeting participant:
- Total time spoken per participant
- Number of times each participant took the floor
Agenda Topic & Time
Agenda Topic & Time compares planned discussion time versus actual discussion time.
This insight uses transcript timestamps to estimate time spent, and shows:
- Each agenda item
- Planned time allocation
- Actual time spent discussing the topic
This helps boards evaluate agenda discipline and time management.
Re-Analyzing AI Insights
What Does the Reanalyze Button Do?
The Re-Analyze button in the top right corner of the screen reruns AI Insights using the existing transcript.
Use this option if:
- The transcript was updated
- You want refreshed insights
- You need to validate or compare results

Do I need to manually start AI Insights?
- AI Insights run automatically, but you can manually select Generate Insights if they are not visible.
