This release brings enhancements to the iPhone, iPad, Android, and Windows Surface apps. Moreover, we are happy to announce an update to OnBoard's email delivery for OnBoard activations, invitations, and password resets.

You can find the update for the OnBoard Windows App, Android, iPhone, and iPad Apps in their respective app stores.

Enhancements

iPhone and iPad Apps

  • 3D Touch is now available on iPhone 6s, 6s Plus, 7, and 7 Plus. 3D Touch lets users preview OnBoard content and interact with it — without having to actually open it. For example, in the agenda you can peak at specific agenda sections and get a preview of the materials and then press more forcefully to fully open that section.
  • Expanded Resource File Support. You can now view images, videos, and attach web links in OnBoard.
  • Approvals Enhancements. Approvals now have a button that appears on the top right of the approval that displays who is participating in the conversation.
  • Significant Performance Enhancements. All iOS apps will be significantly faster, more responsive, and more reliable. These improvements should be particularly noticeable for users on older iPhones and iPads.
  • Enhanced Security. Additional layers of encryption have been added to OnBoard without compromising on performance or accessibility.

Note:

Upon first login to the iOS apps, there will be an increased load time. This is due to the new infrastructure. Load time will vary depending on ammount of data to be transferred.

Windows App

  • Users can now establish a 4 digit pin authentication. This additional security layer ensures that when users navigate away from the application they are required to enter the pin to reopen OnBoard.
  • New discussion comments page is available for approvals.
  • Book Download and RSVP button have been moved from the Meeting Roller to the Meeting Details page.
  • Minor visual enhancements to further align OnBoard across all devices.

Android App

  • Users can now establish a 4 digit pin authentication. This additional security layer ensures that when users navigate away from the application they are required to enter the pin to reopen OnBoard.
  • Minor visual enhancements to further align.

Email Delivery

  • Some OnBoard emails have been caught in spam filters and were not being delivered. We have changed the email formatting for critical OnBoard emails to remove superfluous formatting to avoid spam filters. This will improve:
    • Customers ability to add new members, activate accounts, and update passwords
    • Extends the expiration period of emails to 7 days
    • Provide users more time to respond to invitations and password resets
    • Reduces the need to reinvite users and go through the password reset process
    • Save time for administrators and users by avoiding spam filters to look for missed notifications
    • Improves the user experience of accepting invitations and getting access to OnBoard

Fixes

iPad and iPhone App

  • Fix issue of saving annotations, where if the book changed since you opened it, the annotations would be on the wrong page

Windows App (UWP)

  • UWP Signatures & initials were being captured with a white background. This has now been fixed to use a transparent background

Android App

  • Groups weren't showing all users on the first load of "All Contacts"
  • Fixed bug where if book went from not having content -> having content -> back to not having content, clicking on an agenda section would try to download the book
  • Pen tool on Android no longer gives a false blue lined annotation
