Week 4: Review of Work Completed (Pulse Check)
Working with OnBoard should be fun! Yes, it takes time and there's no doubt it means you have to work it into your already busy schedule. In the end, you'll thank yourself for the effort, and likely be amazed and just how quickly the setup was able to be done.
If you continue to follow the path we are outlining, you'll soon be introducing OnBoard with confidence.
Let's Review The Work You Should Have Completed at This Stage
-
Getting Started - checklist printed, viewed overview video, in-app Help walk throughs completed, OnBoard added to your IT's safe sender list.
-
Organization Info Populated - logo uploaded, industry and organization profile populated, contact information entered, social media links added, and leadership positions filled in.
-
Org-Wide Settings Confirmed - time zone verified, decision made on allowing downloads or disabling with exceptions, security settings reviewed, specific feature settings chosen. Tip: take your time on the Features tab where key decisions are made for handling annotations, choosing how members will be leaving feedback after a meeting, and linking your calendar to streamline sending invitations and receiving RSVPs.
-
Directory and Groups Populated - beginning understanding of permissions, additional org-admins invited, members added, groups created with members managed, and user profiles populated.
-
Resource Library Outlined - existing repository audited, parent-level and subfolder folders created, decisions made on how far back to migrate historical materials, folder permissions set, key documents uploaded for initial launch.
- Meeting Recreated - created a meeting from scratch using a recent meeting, added remote meeting details, invited a back-up admin, tested the import agenda utility, used compose agenda tools, uploaded documents, enabled optional settings (ex. page numbers), published and sent calendar invite, viewed from Open Book on both web and mobile app.
As you work toward introducing OnBoard to a pilot group, such as a hand-picked few of tech-savvy members or a small committee, we will be providing you with tips for testing, email templates, and a readiness checklist.
Reminder
Your Resources contains OnBoard help folders for both admins and members. Be sure you've familiarized yourself with these materials as you look ahead and to make sure you continue to allocate time to this project to ensure you meet your expected launch date at an upcoming meeting.
