This is a quick guide for OnBoard Organization Administrators to resend invitations and reset passwords.
Invitations no longer expire with our updated invitation process, but board members may need a reminder to accept the invitation that was sent to them. This can be accomplished by clicking on the Remind text, like in the image below.
The “Remind” text will only display when a user has been invited that already has an OnBoard ID/Account. To resend a password to a user who is new to OnBoard, you can forward them the original email you sent which includes their temporary password. You can also use the "Reset" link and follow the steps outlined under "Reset Passwords" below.
Password resets are even easier in OnBoard with the new changes. If you have one user that's locked out, like the picture below, you can click on reset.
Note: As soon as you add a new user who is brand new to OnBoard, it will display the Hidden Password with “Reset”, regardless of whether you emailed the temp password or just clicked “done” on the invite screen to add them to the organization without yet inviting them.
The Administrator can then copy and send the Temporary password to the user. They can also click on the password and have it email using a preferred client.
Administrators can still reset the passwords of multiple users by clicking on the Edit in the top right, check the box of each users that need a reset, and then hit reset password. This can be used if multiple user need a reset or if an organization has a password reset policy.
**Please Note: All users who have temporary passwords created (whether the password was created because they are a new user or had a password reset), the passwords will have to be sent out individually.**
